www.WardInvestigations.com The Egg Man

WardInvestigations.com case in May 1998
This is client became referred to around the office as “The Egg Man”. www.Wardinvestigations.com does not generally accept these types of cases as we are here to serve the domestic related area of investigations, however this client was sent to us from his brother who had used www.WardInvestigations.com for a child custody case a few years back, and asked personally if we could help out his brother.
So the situation was this… this guy lived in Kensington, Maryland and had a child who was in the 9th grade at the time. For whatever reason a group of kids in his school decided they did not like him too much, and thought it would be a good idea to start egging his house on the weekends. The client mentioned to Wardinvestigations.com that it pretty much happened every weekend, but he really did not know exactly when it was going to happen. Anywhere from Friday at 9pm to Saturday at 1am, he just did not know. We went over to his house to look at the layout. He lived on a court which was good, however the rear his house backed up to another house, and that house was on a main road around the neighborhood. www.WardInvestigations.com generally tries to get away with one investigator whenever possible, however in this case we had to use 2.
First weekend www.Wardinvestigations.com is in place and ready to go. Both nights nothing happened at all. So the only thing we could do is to set up for the following weekend. The following Friday night we set up just after dark, waited until about 2am, no action so we it was decided by the client if nothing by 2am pull out. Back on the scene the next night. One investigator herein referred to as investigator 1 is setup in the court itself in a pickup truck and is actually hiding in the bed of the truck opposed to sitting in the front seat where he could be spotted, while the other investigator herein referred to as investigator 2 is set up on the main road behind the house with communication being done with Nextel phones. We were not really sure how many kids were involved with this, however we believed there had to be at least 2-3 which we could easily handle. Just shy of midnight investigator 2 stationed behind the house all of a sudden notices about 12 kids come running around the side of the house (the house behind The Egg Man’s) Not really in a position to grab 12 kids as they are all running and spreading out the investigator radios over “get over here I have them in sight but there is like 12 of them” Investigator 1 replies, “I caught one, I have one!!!” All the other kids are running in different directions so investigator 2 decided to follow 4-5 of them running in the same direction with the thinking they are heading to their car. The do in fact run to 3 series BMW, they all pile in and take off. Investigator 2 continues to pursue them in his vehicle slowly through the neighborhood staying as far behind as he can as it clearly looks like they are searching for the rest of their friends, and did not want to leave them on the field of battle. After about 5-6 minutes they notice they are being followed and take off at a high rate of speed, leaving the neighborhood and getting on a main road. The chase went on for about 2-3 miles and Investigator 2 was driving a much faster, and much better handling car, so it was pretty simple for him to catch them and maintain a postion right behind them. Then as a result of not being able to get away the kids started driving in somewhat of an erratic manner, so investigator 2 decided to let them go opposed to them possibly getting into an accident, and returned back to the house. The one that was caught ratted out all his friends, so we got all the names, descriptions, and a few other bits of information. We also got the information from his I.D., a photograph, and then the client decided to he wanted to release him, and he would just go to the school the following Monday to obtain the necessary contact information for their parent to inform them of what has been going for the last few weeks, as well as some restitution for some damages.
So that was it, we caught the kids, and were pretty sure that would end their shenanigans. So Investigator 1 & 2 were basically done, and we left then house, but decided to meet up a small park area in the neighborhood to get everything together prior to departing for the night. While standing the park reminiscing about the actives of the evening, a car pulled up with several teenagers in it. They got out and started talking to us about what was going on. They stated they were not involved with any of this (yeah right..ha ha ) but just wanted to know who we were, how we got involved and what happened. We gave them a little information and let them know we would continue to be around checking in on the house during various weekend hours. We also inquired as to why these kids picked this house to egg. They informed us the boy that lived there was a real trouble maker. He was kind of described as the kid that did not fit in very well, and took revenge on those that did by always snitching. We did not condone their actions, but I guess we all remember that one kid.

www.WardInvestigations.com

October 2004…
WardInvestigations.com was contacted by a very prominent business man in the Annapolis, Maryland area. It was told to wardinvestigations.com his wife had recently been contacted or been in contact with an old high school flame from 25 years ago who now lived in Germany, but was coming to the US in a few weeks, and would have a several hour layover at BWI prior to continuing onto the Miami Florida. He requested that we start surveillance on her first thing in the morning from their home, did not care what it cost, and wanted 5 investigators on the case to make sure we did not lose her. We stressed 5 investigators was a tad overkill, however if that is what we wanted we would surely comply. We settled on 2 investigators as work at the airport can be a tad tricky because of the parking. We started the case first thing in the morning, arriving around 7am. First thing we noticed was their house was roughly 18K square feet, the property was huge and gated. We set up so that regardless of which direction she went when she left we would not have any problem following her, while at the same time allowing us to stay as far away from the house so as not to be detected, or attract attention. She left around 8:30, and proceeded to drop her kids off at school, and even went into the school for a short period of time. At approximately 9:45am she left the school, and proceeded to a local coffee house where she went in, got coffee, and read the paper for a while. 11:00am back in the car and now we are off again headed towards the Annapolis Mall. She parked in the underground parking and headed into the mall. She shopped at a few women’s stores for about an hour, grabbed a bit to eat, and we are off again. Her vehicle got on 97 North, and appeared to heading towards BWI as planned. She arrived at BWI around 1:30pm, pulled into the parking garage, parked, and exited the vehicle. One investigator was able to obtain a parking space in very close proximity so that her SUV was clearly visible thus he exited his vehicle and followed her into the airport. The second investigator also got a space, and maintained surveillance on her vehicle. She waited at the gates, and roughly 15 minutes a large heavyset man appeared, they hugged, light kiss, and started to walk towards the exit. Once we were all back in our cars, the second investigator re-positioned closer to the exit, and investigator one maintained visibility of her vehicle. They got in the vehicle, and sat…., and sat, and sat. 20 minutes went by and not too much was happening at this point other then what appeared to be them simply talking to one another. Then about 30 minutes into this they both got out of the vehicle in what we assumed to be them going back into the airport so he could catch his flight. However it was clearly evident he had a tad more time on his hands when they opened the back doors of the SUV and climbed in the back. The windows had a light tint but the investigator could still see enough to even get video of the goings on. The seat reclined, and she jumped on top of him. At this point the second investigator was brought over to the scene so he could witness the activities. After about an hour more of this it was clear they were not planning on going anywhere, and really did not seem to mind all the people walking by. The second investigator was released to keep cost down for wardinvestigations.com services. We are now on hour number 2 of this activity with no end in sight. The windows are pretty fogged up at this point so the video was getting a tad hard to continue, and we really had more than enough anyway. It is now a little past 4pm, when they both exited the vehicle, got back into the front seat, and seemed to be getting their composure. 4:30pm he exited the vehicle alone, and walked back into the airport. She then left the area and was followed back towards Annapolis by the sole investigator from WardInvestigations.com per the directions from our client. She got off at an exit for Mountain Road and went to a house in the Severna Park, Maryland area, or what could be considered maybe Arnold, Maryland picked up her kids, and proceeded back to her house where the wardinvestigations.com investigator ended the surveillance for the day.
The following day a call was placed to our client at which time all the activities from the prior day were discussed. The fact she met this person was really no surprise, as he really knew it was going to happen, though he really thought it would be more of a getting some lunch, and maybe, possibly going a hotel type thing should the mood arise, however it was the opinion of his case manager from wardinvestigations.com he really seemed convinced the hotel would be a stretch. Needless to say he was tad floored to hear that 30 minutes after meeting this guy at the airport and after not seeing him for 25 years they were in the back seat of her car minus various articles of clothing. In addition he was not really too thrilled about the fact all this happened in between dropping off and picking up of their young children. The client requested we hold onto all the information we had in our file at the wardinvestigations.com home office and he would get back in touch with us in a little bit. Several months went by, and just during the course of other work wardinvestigations.com was doing around the Annapolis, Maryland area our investigators would occasionally see this women cruising around town in the same car in the same area of Annapolis, Maryland she lived so we assumed a divorce never occurred or was simply ongoing. After about 7 months our client called the WardInvestigations.com office and informed us he decided to work out the situation with his wife, and asked that we continue to hold onto the information he had, and in the event we did not hear from by the end of the year we could dispose of it.
We did never in fact hear from this client again by the end of the year so we assumed they did not get a divorce, and though wardinvestigations.com managed to obtain all the information necessary to get a divorce based on adultery, this was one marriage where forgiveness came into play, and the marriage was saved.
Wardinvestigations.com did hear from this client again until about a year later but it was for some additional surveillance work needed in the Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Bethesda, Maryland totally unrelated to any personal family members. He say they worked out their problem, and have been happy ever since. I would tell the story of the new investigation he asked of WardInvestigations.com as it’s a rather interesting one, however I don’t want to divulge too much information about a singular client, as WardInvestigations.com needs to maintain confidentiality at all times regardless of how old a case or client might be.
Hope you enjoyed just one of the many cases from years past. Have a great day !!!
